Time [Dont spend time investigating signals which
are not relevant !]
Resolution [with a span of 400MHz and 400 points across
the screen you can not resolve signals less the 1MHz ?] but even in large spans analysers
can resolve a lot of information, use them wisely.
Start / Stop / Split Frequency [But make sure not to
miss any relevant frequencies ?]
What we need is a test receiver ? [Generally easier to
use with better preselection, noise floor, frequency accuracy but they are no good at
spanning large frequency ranges, hence it is very difficult to make effective emission
measurements with them !]
