Vasona- Support

Windows 8 or 10
Vasona will run in Window 8/10 and Window 8/10 (64bit). This section lists the known problems, solutions and workarounds.
Issue	Solution
Version	Must be running version 5.0084 or later.
Dongle	Window 10, does recognise the dongle driver. We have requested an update from the supplier. In the in-trim do the following:- 1. Download and install the driver (executable) 2. Open device manager (control panel/device manager), find the DLP-D, under other devices. 3. Right mouse button click and select properties. 4. Click update driver. 5. Select 'browse my computer for driver software' 6. Select 'let me pick from a list of device....' 7. From the list select the, 'FTDI, USB Serial Converter' 8. Device should now be avaliable.
Strange format of tables...	There is no classic view, we are working on updating the tables. In the in-trim you could select 'high contrast mode'.
64bit version	When Vasona is installed in a 64bit version of Win7, it is install in the c:\program files (x86)\emisoft - vasona\.. directory. Vasona can automatically work (interplay) with (x86) and non (x86) structures.
Network storage	If you are using Vasona with network storage capabilities then Vasona must be logged on the network drive at the start of the opening process. In this case, Vasona has been connected to the remote drive through 'Z' with the user logon 'e'.
Screen saver	Ensure that you have screen saver turned off ! If the screen saver is activated the NI cards can loose their configuration and all IEEE commands will be rejected !
Files will not save correctly and Vasona just operates strangely ...	Run in WinXP SP3 compatibility mode.

Vasona will run in Window 7 and Window 7 (64bit). This page lists the known problems, solutions and workarounds.

Dongle will not be recognized	Download the most up to date driver. Check DLP designs webs site if required. We use the DLP-D-G. Note: only the most up to date USB dongles may be supported.
Strange format of tables...	Select 'Window Classic' for the display format. Right mouse button click on your desktop and click on 'personalize' ...
Communication to some ISO field probes is problematic.	Some probes are not fully support. Best solution is a USB to Fiber converter. Note: some changes to interrupts (an increase) may be required.
Some of the words are missing on the display (or trimmed)...	Vasona looks better with the Arial narrow font installed.
